These are all real-life questions I’ve been asked by students in the Q&A sections of my Udemy courses about Snowflake. [Q21] Is it best to sign up for a free trial so I have Admin access? I already have a login for Snowflake through my organization, however I’m not an Admin.

Yes, I’ve been in the same situation in the past, and it may get frustrating sometimes. But they are paying for that shared account, so it makes sense.

I always create a new free trial account just for myself when I want to freely experiment with something on my own, have access to everything and do not worry one bit about spending. I strongly advise you to do the same. But only if you need such experiments, otherwise you’ll waste one good email address, as this is limited to one month.
