About the new SnowPro Associate: Platform Certification Exam

This new SnowPro Associate: Platform Certification is indeed the most entry-level certification in Snowflake so far.

Who is in charge of certifications at Snowflake worked for the AWS professional certification exams at Amazon before. And this new Practitioner-like certification — following the two recent Specialty certifications — reflects closely what she did there.

Briefly Stated

• The new SnowPro Associate: Platform Certification Exam will cost you $100 US per attempt.
• It is NOT proctored!
• You will get 64 (short) questions, much like for the SnowPro Core exam.
• You have max 85 minutes for this.
• Pass it with 75% or so. That’s a scaled score, as usual.
• There are no prerequisites. SnowPro Core is supposed to be a more difficult certification and is not required.
• Valid for 2 years. Auto-renewed when SnowPro Core is renewed.
• You can already register and try to pass it online right away. Announced and started on Feb 3rd 2025.
